Dr. Irene Gladstein’s holistic approach to aesthetics can be defined by an elegant merger of medicine, art, and longevity science.
As a board-certified oculoplastic surgeon, Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner (IFMCP), and one of the top injectors in the United States, Dr. Gladstein is passionate about helping patients look and feel their best—inside and out. Her deep commitment to longevity and whole-person care drives her role as Medical Director at Project Glammers®, where cutting-edge aesthetic medicine meets functional and regenerative wellness.
Since its inception, Project Glammers has become a leader in medical aesthetics, serving patients in New York City and Naples, Florida with the safest, most effective, and most innovative treatment options available in the field.
For Dr. Gladstein, there was never any question that her life would somehow lead in an aesthetic direction. The field provides a cherished outlet for her to merge creativity, intellect, and healing. Born in Kyiv, Ukraine, she displayed an innovative spirit from an early age—a family trait inherited from her grandfather, a renowned scientist and engineer whose patented welding technique is still used in space exploration. After immigrating to the United States, Irene nurtured her creativity in the cultural hub of New York City.

Although her teenage years as an immigrant presented challenges, her artistic and intellectual curiosity never wavered. She attended New York University’s College of Arts and Science, where she completed her premedical studies while majoring in the history of fine arts with an emphasis on antiquities. Immersed in the study of ancient Greek, Roman, and Egyptian art—and surrounded by the inspiration of the Metropolitan Museum of Art—she discovered her calling at the intersection of medicine and artistry.
“I knew I needed to find something that combined the artistry and the intellectual pursuit,” Dr. Gladstein recalls. “Oculofacial plastic surgery was it. From day one, aesthetics has always resonated with who I am.”

Oculofacial surgery became the perfect marriage of medicine and art—demanding precision, creativity, and vision. Dr. Gladstein completed her residency at New York University Medical Center and Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Cosmetic and Reconstructive Oculofacial Plastic Surgery at the Neigel Center for Cosmetic Surgery, St. Barnabas Medical Center. Her fellowship, unusually balanced between reconstructive and cosmetic procedures, provided early and extensive exposure to aesthetics at a time when such programs were rare.
After training, she channeled her tenacity into founding her own practice—Project Glammers—built on a philosophy of artistry, innovation, and holistic patient care.
“As an artist, my approach is mixed media,” she explains. “That means combining modalities and techniques to create individualized treatment plans. Our goal is always to deliver natural, long-lasting results that enhance each patient’s unique beauty and vitality.”
Today, Dr. Gladstein’s expertise extends beyond aesthetics. As a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, she is deeply passionate about longevity and integrative wellness—helping patients optimize both how they look and how they live. Through her longevity and regenerative programs at Project Glammers, she embraces a whole-person approach to care, aligning internal health with external radiance.
With successful practices in New York and Florida, multiple speaking engagements, and a family she cherishes, Dr. Gladstein exemplifies the fusion of passion, purpose, and perseverance.
“I need to feel passion. I need to love what I do and be fully dedicated to my craft,” she says. “Finding this perfect merger of medicine and art—and now integrating functional medicine—has been a true blessing. At the end of the day, I love helping patients feel whole, confident, and vibrant at every stage of life.”
Dr. Gladstein shares her time between NYC and Naples, Florida with her husband and three beloved daughters. In her spare time, she and her husband pursue philanthropic efforts that give back to causes close to their hearts.
