All too often, the neck is one of the most overlooked areas of body until the telltale signs of aging can no longer be ignored. Loose, wrinkled skin on the neck (aka “turkey neck”) as well as horizontal lines often make us look older than we feel. But it’s not just natural aging that’s to blame. Today’s technology-rich lifestyle in which we’re constantly looking down at our phones and other devices certainly doesn’t help. Even younger people are experiencing premature creases on the neck due to these actions, appropriately referred to as “tech neck.”
Fortunately, there are effective non-surgical solutions available to help remedy this situation for people experiencing mild to moderate neck sagging or lines due to age or tech neck. At Project Glammers, we offer our popular neck contouring, a combination procedure so popular, only Full Facial Contouring compares in its popularity. This combined approach comes out of years of our injectable experience with a variety of procedures and offers results only surgical correction could rival.
What is Project GLAMMERS ® Neck?
PG Neck is our proprietary series of procedures offered in a very controlled and carefully planned order and meant to address each of the layers of the neck separately. When done in recommended order and frequency, this time- and results-tested approach offers both prevention of aging as well as powerful rejuvenating effect.
What does PG® Neck approach involve?
• Neck PLUS
• “Nefertiti Neck Lift”
• Volume Neck contouring
• Line Neck Contouring
What is Neck PLUS?
Neck PLUS is a unique approach to neck skin rejuvenation that creates a “plasma” sandwich around the thin and sensitive skin of the neck. It combines two powerhouse approaches—RF Microneedling with PRP PLUS injectable PRFM offered simultaneously. Both approaches have been tested and tried separately and have been popular with our patients over the years.
Combining the two allows for more powerful and time-efficient option to improving and maintaining the sensitive skin of the neck.
What is “Nefertiti Neck Lift”?
While using neurotoxins (like Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin®) in the face to prevent aging has been a standard of care for over 15 years, a lot of our newer patients are often unaware that similar approach is available for the neck. Because the skin of the neck is intimately connected to the neck muscle (known as platysma muscle), treating with neurotoxin is a cornerstone to both improving the condition of neck skin as well as preventing future aging. Please be aware that order of procedure in the neck is of paramount importance as energy-based devices have been anecdotally shown to effect longevity of neurotoxins.
What is Volume Neck Contouring?
As we age and collagen production diminishes, the skin loses natural volume and begins to sag. The neck is often one of the first areas of the body where this occurs, leading to the appearance of a “turkey neck” that no one wants.
A collagen-stimulating filler known as Radiesse® can replenish areas of lost volume and provide a more youthful appearance while stimulating collagen production in the sensitive area of the neck.
During this procedure, a master injector (personally trained by Project Glammers founder Irene Gladstein, M.D., F.A.C.S., herself) uses a cannula to place a small amount of dermal filler in strategic areas to add volume and eliminate wrinkles, creating an overall smoother, younger appearance.
What is Line Neck Contouring?
Constantly looking down at your phone or other devices (aka “tech neck”) combined with natural aging and sun exposure can contribute to unsightly horizontal lines across the neck. Strategically placed hyaluronic fillers as part of our neck contouring procedure can smooth these lines out and help you hold your head up high again and is usually the last step of our PG® Neck approach.
Will I need any downtime following my PG® Neck treatments?
In most cases, neither of the procedures require any downtime and most people resume their normal activities once their treatment is complete. We will recommend you avoid any heavy physical activity for the first 24-48 hours, however, to help minimize swelling and bruising, which are the most common side effects of injections.
Your neck will likely be a little sore for a few days or so, but this usually doesn’t hinder anyone carrying out their normal routines. Ice packs can be used to provide relief. We’ll go over everything you can expect during your consultation and make sure you’re well-informed on all the details.
When will I notice results from neck contouring with dermal fillers?
While PRP/PRFM techniques requires a few weeks to start working, “Nefertiti Neck Lift”, Volume Neck Contouring and Line Neck Contouring offer quick results and often immediate improvement as their lost volume and neck lines are diminished or eliminated.
It usually takes a few days for optimal results to present following treatment as the fillers settle and work their smoothing magic. Keep in mind you may experience some mild swelling, bruising, or redness at and around the injection site for few days as well. After those effects subside, you’ll start noticing a more refreshed appearance on your neck. And a gradual boost in collagen will help with continued improvement over time.
How long will the effects last from neck contouring with dermal fillers?
It’s important to understand that neck contouring with fillers provides temporary improvement and must be repeated periodically to maintain results.
That said, Neck PLUS results can last up to 3 years, results from “Nefertiti Neck Lift” is expected for 3-6 months and both Volume and Line Contouring for 6-12 months in most cases, depending on the specific filler used and the degree of neck laxity/lines being treated.

How does neck contouring with dermal fillers work?
During this procedure, a master injector (personally trained by Project Glammers founder Irene Gladstein, M.D., F.A.C.S., herself) uses a cannula to place a small amount of dermal filler in the lines of the neck and/or other strategic areas to add volume and eliminate wrinkles, creating an overall smoother, younger appearance. This approach can also be customized with neurotoxin injections for reduction of neck chords to improve overall skin texture.
Am I a candidate for neck contouring with dermal fillers?
If you’re an adult in generally good health and concerned about mild to moderate neck laxity or pesky horizontal creases, you may be a good candidate for neck contouring with dermal fillers.
Volume loss
As we age and collagen production diminishes, the skin loses natural volume and begins to sag. The neck is often one of the first areas of the body where this occurs, leading to the appearance of a “turkey neck” that no one wants. Dermal fillers can replenish areas of lost volume and provide a more youthful appearance.
Horizontal lines
Constantly looking down at your phone or other devices (aka “tech neck”) combined with natural aging and sun exposure can contribute to unsightly horizontal lines across the neck. Strategically placed dermal fillers as part of our neck contouring procedure can smooth these lines out and help you hold your head up high again.
Fillers often provide a great option for nonsurgical neck rejuvenation for varying ages and skin types. However, for those displaying the more advanced signs of aging and skin laxity on the neck, more invasive treatment options may be needed to achieve their desired outcome. The expert team at Project Glammers will thoroughly discuss all your available options at your private consultation.
